You can use it to collect bandwidth usage data and measure the speed of your Internet or any other network connection. AVIAddXSubs 8.0 Posted: 16 Sep 2008 12:04 PM CDT AVIAddXSubs is a simple free program to incorporate subtitles (XSUB) from .srt (ANSI text, up to 8 srt) or idx/sub (containing up to 8 subtitles) quickly and easily to your avi files containing DivX/XVid video streams. Just place the avi and its associated (same name) srt in the same directory and Drag&Drop the avi on AVIAddXSubs icon or shortcut in your desktop. In 2-3 minutes a new file with divx extension will be created and be ready to play in your hardware DivX player. For example from the files: lost0318.avi lost0318.srt you get lost0318.divx, to play in your hardware DivX player. To see the subtitles you have to activate them through your remote control much like you do with normal DVD. Check the configuration page of the program for the offered options. Maybe you have to put a smaller number at “Vertical Position” field if subtitles are selectable, are selected, but do not appear. The generated file is a regular avi and you can rename it if this helps the player. What’s New in version 7.4: * hapter support added. When you first launch Speak N Spell, the default word set of over 47,000 words is used. You can open the Word Maintenance window from the menu bar and revise this dictionary (add or delete words), use your own set of words (clear the table and add words), or load a plain text file with words. You can also save the word list to a plain text file. Make such a file one word per line and save the file with a “.txt” suffix. The four levels of difficulty use different size words: 1. Easy - Three letter words 2. Medium - Four to six letter words 3. Hard - Seven to ten letter words 4. Hardest - More than ten letter words Score is not kept. If you don´t understand the word, you can ask to see the word or just ignore that word and ask for another word. It is suggested that the System Preferences/Speech/Text to Speech Speaking Rate be set for Slow. Experiment with different voices. Vicki is an good Speaking Voice but you can try the others.
